Who We Are

Main Office

PowerTrain was founded in 1994 as a woman-owned, small business. Since then, we have supported thousands of government and commercial projects on a wide variety of human performance initiatives. In a rapidly evolving industry in which technological adaptability and innovation are critical, we are proud to be celebrating 30 years in the business! As evidenced by the effectiveness of our training in quantified evaluations and our numerous awards, PowerTrain develops powerful training.

We turn your ideas and challenges into impactful results.

We are agile, client-oriented, responsive, customer-focused, cutting-edge, cost-effective, friendly, and reasonably priced. In short, PowerTrain is a world-class, high-tech, customer-focused company that provides fast, successful solutions to your organization's challenges.

Who we are is best expressed by what we do creatively and how we can work together to turn your ideas into impactful results. Our philosophy is to provide our clients with unparalleled service and support in the areas of training and human performance improvement. At PowerTrain, we highly value our client relationships and make sure this translates into dynamic, expertly produced products and services.

Senior Program Managers

What We Do

Our creative, multidisciplinary staff is among the best in the business.

PowerTrain's senior management and much of our staff have worked together in various capacities for over 20 years. We know each other, like each other, and are committed to supporting a creative, innovative, and flexible work environment that has a focus on the customer, a focus on quality, and a focus on learning. One benefit of working with PowerTrain is that we are agile and responsive. We don't have a large, complex organizational structure or Board of Directors that we answer to. PowerTrain's founders, owners, and senior managers who scope and plan your work are the same folks who are involved in the day-to-day efforts to create your products and deliver your services. There is no middle man at PowerTrain; the manager you talk with at the beginning of the project is the person who will be creating and delivering the product.

The number of clients who have returned to us again and again since our founding shows our commitment to client satisfaction. Many of our clients have worked with us for over 15 years, and in fact, our very first client is still our client today. PowerTrain's work is about ¾ government and ¼ commercial.

PowerTrain is conveniently located in Hyattsville, Maryland. Our office is an easy Metro ride or 20-minute drive from downtown Washington, DC. And we are just two blocks from the New Carrollton Metro stop on the Orange Line and the Amtrak Train Station.
